Hey guys how are you doing my name is VAIBHAV and in this article I have brought a higher amount of high quality questions of chapter life processes from the class 10th CBSE books so I hope you like the questions below and you must learn all the questions below as they are most important questions as per board perspective so if you learn the questions that are provided below I guarantee that you can bring 95% above easily and rapidly so and try to follow my blog by providing your email below thank you

Q 1.  Write two different ways in which glucose is oxidised to provide energy in human body? write products formed in each case.

ANSWER - Two different ways in which glucose is oxidised to provide energy in human body and their products are

Q 2. How is Oxygen and Carbon dioxide transported in human bodies?

ANSWER -  Oxygen and Carbon dioxide are transported in human body with gas Transportation system the system is mainly composed of following parts:

LUNGS: Lungs help in breathing in oxygen rich air and breathing out carbon dioxide rich air.

HEART: Heart pumps deoxygenated blood to lungs for oxygenation and pumps oxygenated blood to different organs of the body.

VIENS: Veins usually carry deoxygenated blood from different parts of the body to the heart one exception is the Pulmonary vein which carries oxygenated blood from lungs to heart.

ARTERIES: Artery usually carry oxygenated blood from heart to different parts of the body one exception is a pulmonary Artery which deoxygenated blood from heart to lungs.

Q 3. List two different functions performed by pancreas in our body?

ANSWER - The different functions performed by pancreas in our body are:

  • Pancreas secretes pancreatic juice which contain protein digesting enzyme Trypsin.
  •  It secretes lipase is what breakdown emulsified fats.

Q 4. Write three types of blood vessels.Give one important feature of each?

ANSWER Three different types of vessels with one important feature or as follows:

Q 5. Define the term transpiration.Design an experiment to demonstrate this process?

ANSWER - Transpiration is defined as the loss of water in the form of vapour from the aerial parts of the plant.

Experiment to demonstrate transpiration :

MATERIALS REQUIRED - To transparent plastic glass, square cardboard, one small plant,Vaseline,  water and scissor.

METHOD - A small hole need to be made at the centre of the cardboard. The plant stem to be passed through the hole and a gap to be filled with Vaseline. The bottom glass to be filled with water and the roots of the plant to be taped in the water. The plant to be covered with the other glass from top. When the arrangement is kept in sunlight for 3 to 4 hours, droplets of water will be observed on the side of the inverted glass which is due to transpiration.

Q 6. What is Photosynthesis? Explain its mechanism.

ANSWER - Photosynthesis is a process in which green plants convert carbon dioxide and water into carbohydrates in presence of Sunlight and chlorophyll.Carbohydrates are utilised to provide energy to the plant.

MECHANISM - 6 CO2 + 6 H2O + light --> C6H12O6 + 6 O

The following events occur during the process of Photosynthesis:

  • Light energy absorbed by chlorophyll.
  • Light energy is converted to chemical energy and water molecules are split into hydrogen and oxygen.
  • Carbon dioxide in then reduced to carbohydrate.
